Paul's words to Timothy were some good ones... Check it out!
II Timothy 2:15,16
15Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 16But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
The reason so many young people declare their lack of knowledge about the Bible, is because they are guilty of two MAIN things: 1. They don't read God's Word & 2. They listen to everything and everyone else about religion/God/church.
Paul tells Timothy to study the Word, but to do it in a truthful manner... Why? Because if you are not careful, you will begin to look for biblical proof of approval for your selfish, sinful life. Don't just study for study's sake, but rather do it for the glory of God, that He might be honored!
If you are searching for answers to your questions about God, life, etc., look to God in His Word, find those who have STUDIED His Word and focus on the life of Jesus Christ via the Gospels. "Shun babblings" about God - everyone has an opinion of Who God is... that doesn't make them right!
Fall in love with your Bible. Read it. Devour it. Or as Paul said, "STUDY!"
