    Is Salvation Hard?

    August 1, 2012
    A few questions and answers...

    Q: Is salvation free?
A: No. Ask Jesus how "free" it was. It cost Him and it will cost you. (Just think about it)

    Q: Is salvation easy?
A: No. Look at what Jesus said in Mark 8:34-38 & read about the guy in Luke 18 who left Jesus "sorrowful" after hearing how "easy" and "free" salvation was...

    Q: Is salvation necessary?
A: Absolutely. Without Christ, you will not inherit eternal life and the true Treasure of the Universe: Jesus. You will pay for your sin and be judged by the Creator, Jehovah.

So what did Jesus say about salvation?

"...when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it. 36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? 37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? 38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels."                                       Mark 8:34-38

Being "saved" is more than just repeating a prayer or whispering promises and "I'm sorry's" into God's ear. Salvation demands sacrifice, the sacrifice of Christ on your behalf and ultimately the sacrifice of your dreams here... Not that you will not have aspirations, but rather when you begin to follow Him, His aspirations and desires become yours!

    Will you know Jesus today?
