My Jesus is the Son of an Almighty & Sovereign God. He was brutally & visciously murdered. Why? Because it pleased the Father to do that. Why? For the sins of YOU & I. His death, though vicarious in nature, was simply an act of obedience to God the Father. When He died he made the way for intercession between the Father & us. We no longer have a need for an intercessor. He lived a PERFECT & HOLY life, He was the ONLY one capable of this. For this reason He was the ONLY one qualified to take upon Him the wrath of God to die as an innocent lamb for our wretched sins. He was betrayed, afflicted, spit upon, beat beyond recognition. He was hated & rejected by the very ones He came to save. My Jesus loved me enoug to go through ALL of this & much more...& why? Because I deserve it? Because you deserve it? NO! We deserve hell! Yet, God in His wonderful Love made a way for dying sin-sick people. That way is Jesus, My Jesus. Following my Jesus is not an easy path. You must be willing to give any & all for Him. He can't & won't take second place to anything. Repentance is key in the one-on-one relationship required to follow My Jesus. He's not there only for the bad times when disaster strikes & you don't know where to turn. Sure He's there through those times, but He's also there through the good times. He's not there only to be called on when life falls down around you & you have no where else to go. He's there to be adored & worshipped EVERY DAY of our lives. An intimate, growing realtionship is a must to know My Jesus. Lastly, my Jesus is My personal saviour without Him I would be doomed. Praise God He saw fit to reach down & save a horribly vile sinner as myself! My Jesus: My Lord.
