    Thoughts from Craig - Confessions

    March 8, 2012
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth, and he created the fouls of the air; the sea and firmament. And He also created "MAN"! Designed for one purpose and one purpose only, and that was to bring glory back to God! But man sinned and was separated from God, and the Bible says in Romans 5:8- For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord!. So no doubt if you sin you are going to die and here's a news flash. Romans 3:23- For ALL have sinned and come short of the Glory of God!. So that means every man, women, boy, and girl that has ever walked this earth, or is now walking on this earth has sinned. So no doubt we are all destined to die, but not just a physical death, but a spiritual death. Meaning being ETERNALLY! separated from God Almighty!! Cast into hell for all eternity! And if you think this is mean, well let me say we deserve every bit of hell! And it would do God justice just to go ahead and cast everyone into the lake of fire because we totally deserve it!!! BUT! I Love the "but" in Romans 5:8- "but" the gift. The gift? what gift? JESUS CHRIST!!!! God sent His only Son Jesus because it was the "ONLY" and i mean ONLY way for our sins to be forgiven! But not only did he send Christ, Christ willingly and obediently laid His life down on that cross two thousands years ago and bore the wrath of God THAT YOU DESERVED!!!!! That you and I both deserved! And today as believers in Christ what do we do? NOTHING!!! We'd rather talk about sports, or politics, or whatever is the hot topic, but the subject matter of our everyday conversation has nothing to do with the Gospel of Jesus Christ! God has laid this burden on me to share with whomever may read and this has challenged me because I find myself doing the same thing! Paul writes in Romans 1 that he is not ashamed of the Gospel. I don't want to be ashamed, do you? Lets be bold for His Name's sake and let our conversation be savoured with salt and filled with the Gospel!!
