"Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch."

Mark 13: 35-37

Christ takes His disciples with Him to the Garden of Gethsemane so He can pray. As they arrive, He tells them to wait there and watch, but He takes Peter, James, and John with Him up in the garden.

Jesus tells them to wait and watch while He goes and prays, but when Jesus comes back, He finds them sleeping. Grieved, Jesus said, “Can you not stay awake just an hour and watch for me? Watch and pray lest you fall into temptation. The spirit is truly ready, but the flesh is weak.” Once again, Jesus goes to pray and when He comes back He finds them sleeping again.

The Bible says this happens three times, but on the third time Jesus says, “Sleep on now, and take your rest: it is enough, the hour is come.”

People, when Jesus comes back, there are no second chances. The Bible says we don't know when He's coming back, but He's coming. Jesus tells us to watch and pray lest you fall into temptation. Don't let the Son of Man come back and find you sleeping, because if He does, your time is up. There is no, “Hey, can I have a second chance?”

So I beg you, people of this world, let God awaken your heart; be awake in the Spirit. And all Christians, I say to you, “Watch!”
